Chase Jarvis was finishing up a degree in philosophy with a plan to transition to medical school when his grandfather passed away. Having been a hobbyist photographer, he left all his equipment to his grandson. Chase was inexperienced yet intrigued, unaware of how dramatically this new hobby would impact his life’s trajectory.

Twenty years later, Chase Jarvis has become one of the most accomplished and influential photographers of his time. A long list of awards include honors from Prix de la Photographie de Paris and The International Photography Awards, in addition to being named a Hasselblad Master at the age of 36. Without any formal training, Chase’s skills are self-taught and his growth stems from years of experimentation.

His unique style has brought high demand for his work in the commercial world; his list of clients include Apple, Nike, Red Bull, Samsung and American Express. A master of both photography and videography, Chase has shot music videos for artists ranging from Lady Gaga to Pearl Jam to Sarah McLachlan. A strong believer in community, collaboration and transparency, he developed the online show Chase Jarvis Live as a way to engage thought leaders while giving the public access to their ideas. Guests have included musicians Macklemore, The Lumineers and Chris Buck, as well as former Big Omaha speakers Gary Vaynerchuk and Marc Ecko.

Given his varied and valuable experience, Chase has become highly sought after for speaking engagements, providing keynote talks at a number of conferences throughout his career. In May, he’ll have the opportunity to share his insight and inspiration with Big Omaha attendees.
