Sportstec serves professional sports teams around the world, including China, Spain, Argentina and New Zealand. They also serve the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers, as well as 29 of the 30 teams in the NBA.

According to the press release, Hudl plans to continue operation out of all existing offices in 14 countries.

“We have done extremely well in the elite sports market to be globally recognized as number one,” said Philip Jackson, Managing Director of Sportstec, in the press release.

“A key area missing from the Sportstec offering is the grassroots and amateur markets where Hudl has excelled, making the combination a compelling market strategy and story.”

Sportstec will be Hudl’s third acquisition in 12 months. The transaction is expected to close in late June.

In April Hudl announced a $72.5M raise, the largest ever in Nebraska, and announced plans for a new headquarters facility in Lincoln, alongside Nelnet.
