G2 Crowd, a leading marketplace for business software based out of Chicago, unveiled its annual rankings based on reviews by hundreds of thousands of users from all kinds of businesses.
G2 Crowd determined their rankings of the best software products by collecting business user reviews––270,000 in total––left at G2Crowd.com between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018.
All scores were then calculated using G2 Crowd’s proprietary algorithms, including for Satisfaction and Market Presence, explained in more detail here.
G2 Crowd said in a press release that as tech giants battle to dominate the business software market (expected to top half a trillion dollars in the next few years) their rankings reveal who’s in the lead.
“This isn’t a subjective list by a few people giving their opinions,” CEO Godard Abel explains. “With the highest traffic and engagement, largest selection of products and services, and highest quality data, G2 Crowd is able to harness more than 4 million data points (from 2018 alone), to determine which products and companies are doing the best job of helping businesses reach their potential.”
The Best Software 2019 Awards winners include a lot of familiar faces in software.
