In an email from Dan Houghton, executive vice president of sales for BuilderTREND Solutions, he provided a bit of the company’s history:

[F]ounded in Omaha, Nebraska in 2006 by three friends in their twenties, the company has grown significantly over the last four years. The company has a classic boot strapped tech firm uprising. Started in a basement with a few clients, BuilderTREND now has nine employees and is recognized as an industry leader in the residential construction software marketplace. Because of the growth, the company was able to take advantage of a low fee stimulus SBA Loan for a new office building for expansion. BuilderTREND Solutions, Inc plans on adding 3-6 more employees in the next six months.
