More exciting news for us here at Silicon Prairie News as we round out the year and prepare for 2011. We’re expanding our team of writers by four, bringing the team to 10 and upping our presence to five cities across the Silicon Prairie – from East to West, we now have writers in Cedar Falls and Des Moines, Iowa, Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

With the exception of Steven Adams, a recent college graduate, each of our new writers is deeply involved in the Silicon Prairie community. And Adams is on his way as he began writing for us this past September. Adams’ latest story, “Halo Institute ‘relaunch’,” was published yesterday.

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about each individual as well as the organizations they’re a part of full-time. As we continue to increase our coverage of the region’s entrepreneurial and startup landscape, we’re fortunate to be able to expand our team of writers with individuals who not only have their own businesses in our community, or are a part of one, but they genuinely want to write about others that inspire, excite and motivate them.

Without further ado, help me welcome our four new writers. You’ll see their contributions begin to appear in the coming weeks. (All photos courtesy of writers.)
