Last month my brother, Scott, and I had the opportunity to lead one of the AIM Institute Technology Breakfast Seminars at the Gallup Riverfront Campus. It was a great event which brought out about 100 people bright and early in the morning to listen to our talk, “Incandescent to Fluorescent: Effective use of digital tools.”

At 9 Clouds the core of our message is to help people understand that their online marketing efforts need to be effective in channel and message, and not just efficient in volume or speed. Today’s small businesses are inundated with messages daily of how they need to be utilizing Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and capture the masses. However, we find that most businesses don’t even take the time to determine where their audience is online or what channels provide the most effective form of communication.

With that in mind, we spoke to the AIM Breakfast audience about planning and executing effective online marketing and using the right digital tools. It’s important to understand that not every social network and shiny new medium is right the solution, so we talked a little about our favorite tools and success stories for each.

But enough about what we said, I encourage you to watch our presentation for yourself:
