Today, we’re releasing the eleventh presentation in our video series from Big Omaha 2010. This video features the “Entrepreneur Panel” in which David Hauser of Grasshopper Group led the discussion of three entrepreneurs: Matt Galligan, co-founder of SimpleGeo, Alexa Andrzejewski, co-founder & CEO of Foodspotting and Justin Shaffer, founder of Hot Potato (now with Facebook).
Since Big Omaha 2010 last May, each of these three entrepreneurs have made significant moves in their careers: SimpleGeo brought on Jay Adelson as CEO and Galligan moved to chief strategy officer in November; Schaffer’s HotPotato was acquired by Facebook in August; and Alexia raised a $750,000 seed round of financing in August for Foodspotting.

The video contains some diverse approaches on topics such as raising money and building a company outside of the Valley as well as some of the history behind each of the industry’s emerging talent. Enjoy and let Matt (@mg), Justin (@shafferj) and Alexa (@ladylexy) know how much you enjoyed them lending their time and ideas to the event!
Big Omaha is Silicon Prairie News’ premier annual event held each May to inspire, educate and connect entrepreneurs, especially those with an interest in the tech industry. Big Omaha 2011 will be held May 11-13, 2011 at KANEKO.
