As you stand in the back of one of the room at Austin Convention Center at South by Southwest do you ever wonder: “Why are they speaking at SXSW?” More often then not, the likely answer is “SXSW PanelPicker.”

With a submission deadline this Friday, here’s your chance to speak or participate on a panel at the nation’s largest tech conference, South by Southwest Interactive, taking place March 9-13, 2012. Each year, the Silicon Prairie region continues to see more and more individuals make the long speaker list as well as make it down to the event.

While the real value of the SXSW Interactive comes down to what you put into it, we think it’s one of the best events of the year to make meaningful connections with tech entrepreneurs throughout the world. To see our past coverage of SXSW, visit siliconprairienews.com/tags/sxsw.

To learn more about submitting a panel to SXSW 2011, visit panelpicker.sxsw.com. And just as SXSW strongly encourages you to read their FAQ page before submitting an idea, I would do the same – lots of great tips on that page.
