New office open and Webby in tow, Cohesive keeps ‘pushing boundaries’

It’s pretty safe to say that Cohesive Creative and Code is “movin’ on up” à la The Jeffersons, although the move in this case is to the south rather than to the east side. Cohesive’s new space is actually the former home of a Cedar Valley bank branch in Hudson, Iowa. For a sweet take…

It’s pretty safe to say that Cohesive Creative and Code is “movin’ on up” à la The Jeffersons, although the move in this case is to the south rather than to the East Side. Cohesive’s new space is actually the former home of a Cedar Valley bank branch in Hudson, Iowa.

For a sweet take on the company’s move, check out this tribute to “The Office” they put together with Hudson playing the role of Scranton, Pa. Pay special attention to their new beer delivery service — gotta love the special perks that come with buying a former bank. The new digs offer the benefits of a large collaborative space in addition to a cool drive-up window for quick-serve web coding (or a Stella) and a walk-in safe.

“We’re really happy with where things are headed,” said Neal White, partner at Cohesive. “The new office provides exactly the kind of working environment we were looking for, and room to keep growing. It’s really just part of a bigger long-term plan for our business and facilitating the creative work we do for our clients.”

Since our last update on Cohesive, a lot has changed for the experts of Creative and Code. Obviously, they have new offices to celebrate, but they have also been busy adding new clients — McDonalds, among them — and awards – a Webby with MTV for their project on digital abuse called “A Thin Line” — to their portfolio of work.

Said White of the recognition: “The Webby Awards ceremony was a cool experience. They honored some really amazing projects this year. Being recognized for our work is definitely rewarding, and seeing all the other innovative and game-changing things going on motivates us to continue pushing our own boundaries. Plus, we got to hang out near John Mayer at the reception for a few minutes, before he realized he was in a room full of non-famous people.”

Amid all the changes and expansion, the guys at Cohesive have also found time to cartoon themselves. Where they go from this should be exciting to watch. But, with that, I have to wrap this up; I think I just saw John Mayer in the hallway.

In case you missed it earlier, see the video below for Cohesive’s homage to “The Office” in celebration of the company’s move to Hudson.
