Pardon the oh-so-uncreative way I’m introducing this, but … area creatives, mark your calendars. A week just for you is on its way back to Omaha.
Omaha Creative Week, a seven-day celebration of creativity in advertising, design, digital media, music, film and the fine arts, will return for a second year Sept. 5-11. Creative Week has an open format, and events are independently planned and staged by participating organizations. Creative Week and its events will be aggressively promoted on the event’s website and released to the media by other partnering organizations. People interested in organizing an event or inquiring further about Creative Week can do so by emailing info@omahacreativeweek.com.
Creative Week was first held last year, when some of the city’s creatives recognized an opportunity to combine several events held throughout the year under one banner. This year, the event’s caretakers include Matt Linder, Shawn Bainbridge and Shane Bainbridge from The New BLK and Chris Kollars from GoodTwin.
We’ll have more on Creative Week in the coming days, but for a better idea of all that the event entails, see a sampling of coverage from last year’s inaugural Creative Week:
