TEDxLincolnSalon – Tuesday, 5:30-7p.m.

Lincoln – Dish (1100 East O St)

Join TEDx for an after-work drink and a snack of your choice before viewing a TED video with a discussion to follow. This will be informal and will be finished before 7 PM so you can stroll down the street for Jazz in June.

Silicon Prairie News Pub Quiz (part of One Week KC) – Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. 

Kansas City – The Beacon Tavern (5031 Main St)

Gather up a few of your most inquisitive friends to test your wits with a 40 question trivia session that cover everything from current events on the Silicon Prairie to the post-wedding chatter of Zuckerberg. Winners will win our love and admiration and some sick Silicon Prairie News swag. Plus, one lucky member from the winning team will snag a ticket to Thinc Iowa.

Biz Luncheon Series: Andy Snook- Selling Remote: What Works – Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.

The BIZ helps entrepreneurs maximize their successes by helping them navigate resources, strengthen knowledge, improve skills, form strategic alliances and secure proper capitalization. Snook, president of Fastpath, Inc., will share how to develop a remote sales business model that is within the scope of the resources you have, along with expriences with sales tools that make remote demos and sales presentations a possibility.

Lunch-up with Josh Cramer – Wednesday, noon-1:30 p.m.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Vault Coworking (222 3rd St SE, Suite 500)

Vault’s first Lunch-Up event is showcasing one of the state’s leading start-up mentors, Josh Cramer, founder of CramerDev, as the featured speaker. He will be talking about how he manages a team of over 15 remote employees around the country to work together, be a team, and developm world class software, all from his office in downtown Iowa City.

FarmHack Iowa – Wednesday – Thursday

Mechanicsville, Iowa – Echollective Farm (879 Echo Ave)

FarmHack Iowa will focus on on-farm energy for small farms over this interactive, two day event for farmers, designers, engineers and tinkerers to come together to share, create, and re-purpose farm tools and technologies. Featured presenters will cover on-farm solar and tracking usage, electric G tractor conversion, and ag biodiesel.

Omaha – Silicon Prairie News (1111 North 13th St, Mastercraft CWS Tailgate Lot, Stall 90)

Stop by The Mastercraft Building, just 2 blocks north of TD Ameritrade in stall 90, for a brewski and good, ole Ball Park frank to celebrate the greatest show on dirt, the College World Series, with the Silicon Prairie News team and the RecBob crew.
