Startup Weekend Omaha makes its fourth appearance in Omaha this weekend, taking over The Mastercraft building – including the Silicon Prairie News office – in North Downtown.

Tickets ($75) are still available. The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday with idea pitches and wraps up Sunday at 6 p.m. with final pitches.

“The split of tickets sold so far favors development talent,” co-organizer Shane Reiser said an in email, “so this year’s event should prove to produce a good number of functional products by Sunday night.”

One of the teams behind those products will take home the top prize package, which thanks to the efforts of former Startup Weekend Omaha judge Karen Linder, has been boosted in recent weeks. The package includes design time from Oxide Design, design consultation from What Cheer and two months of coworking at CoVis CoWorking, among other items. We’ve also added to the package, providing a pack of complimentary tickets to our upcoming Thinc Iowa event.
