After a two-month hiatus, Kansas City’s Technology Entrepreneur Speakers Program (Tech ESP) returns Tuesday. Andrew Parkinson (left), the CEO of XPD Consulting, will present at the event, which runs from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Country Club Plaza offices of Polsinelli Shughart (700 W. 47th St., Suite 700).

People who plan to attend are asked to book their tickets in advance. Tickets cost $25 in beforehand and $30 at the door.

Parkinson’s background includes extensive experience as both an entrepreneur and a scientist. Here’s more on him from the Tech ESP’s organizers:

Andrew Parkinson is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of XPD Consulting, a company specializing in in vitro drug testing and drug-drug interactions for pharmaceutical companies. He is also an adjunct professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Parkinson is the founder of XenoTech LLC, a contract service organization he started in 1994, where he served as CEO and then Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) until August, 2011. In 2008, XenoTech was acquired by Sekisui, a Japanese company.

Presented by the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Center, the Tech ESP is a speaker series that features six presentations by technology business leaders from across the region. More on the Tech ESP, again courtesy of its organizers:

This series … highlights the region’s most innovative technology business leaders as they discuss ideas and opportunities for the future generation of entrepreneurs. Tech ESP highlights experiences, lessons learned and unique issues and challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the creation of a new enterprise.

Parkinson’s presentation is the fifth in the Tech ESP series. Stay tuned to Silicon Prairie News for more on Tech ESP events.
