Thinc Iowa 2012 kicked off with a shindig at Wooly’s on Tuesday night.

Before settling in at the The Temple for Performing Arts today for a full slate of speakers at Thinc Iowa 2012, conference-goers descended upon Wooly’s on Tuesday night for tunes, libations, conversation and, of course, plenty of photo booth fun.

Pictures have been said to be worth considerably more than words, so we’ll let the photos do the talking for last night’s party. Scroll down for a sampling of Thinc Iowa 2012 opening party photos, and check Facebook for the complete set.

Attendees grabbed their badges as Thinc Iowa got underway.

Speakers were sprinkled among the crowd at Wooly’s, including Wednesday afternoon presenter Gentry Underwood (center).

Anna Jones, Thinc Iowa’s official photographer again this year, was on the scene to capture the action.

Drinks and conversation flowed as Thinc Iowa guests got (re-)acquainted.

Tres Johnson, a staple of Silicon Prairie News premiere events, manned the turntables all night.

Photo booth fun

The photo booth was a popular destination all evening, and it produced some gems — including a high volume of what may become a recurring feature on Silicon Prairie News, “Tender Moments with Analog the Prairie Dog.” Some of our favorites shots from the photo booth are below.
