Omaha Coffee and Startups Meetup – Tuesday, 9 a.m.

Omaha – Legends Coffee and Comic (5207 Leavenworth St.)

If you have a startup, work at a startup, or just like talking about startups. Come and join us for some coffee and conversations. We’d like to make this a monthly event so going to start with 9AM on the first Tuesday of each month.

1MillionCups: ThreeDee and Angling Technologies – Wednesday, 9 a.m.

Kansas City, Mo. – Kauffman Labs (4801 Rockhill Road)

Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation created 1 Million Cups (1MC) as a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in the Kansas City community. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local upstarts an opportunity to present their companies to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs. A Celebration of Global Entrepreneurship at KU – Friday, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Lawrence, Kan. – University of Kansas Lied Center (1600 Steward Ave.)

The University of Kansas’ Schools of Business, Engineering and Journalism, along with U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran, will host an event to expose students to entrepreneurship as a career path, introduce them to startup companies in the region, and hear from policy-makers about the role of government in enabling entrepreneurship, innovation, and company creation. This is a private event for KU students.

Venture Friday: Movember – Friday, 4 p.m.

Westwood, Kan. – Red Nova Labs (4830 Rainbow Blvd.)

Movember is a global event that takes place annually as an effort to support men’s health and raise awareness for prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives. We are participating in the movement here at Red Nova Labs, and whether you are a Mo Bro or a Mo Sista, we would love for you to join us by way of this month’s Venture Friday networking event.

Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit – Saturday, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Des Moines – Drake University Olmsted Center (2507 University Ave.)

The 2012 Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit will exhibit the success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs. Business growth tips and keys to success when working with immigrant populations are shared in a non-competitive and supportive environment.
