Omaha design firm Oxide Design Co. is participating in the Knight Foundation News Challenge on open government, a national effort to support innovative projects to help citizens and governments interact more effectively. The group’s submission to the challenge is Anywhere Ballot, a “ballot in a box” application that would allow voters to use any electric device, regardless of location, to participate in elections. The more than 800 submission to the challenge are judged in part by page views and reader comments, though all winners are decided by a panel of foundation trustees. — Source: Knight News Challenge
