Hackathons typically attempt to build something within 24 hours. That concept inspired a small group to build a new partnership in Kansas City. Brand Lab is a one-day event that attempts to create a new local brand—design, packaging, marketing, website—by pairing local talent with local businesses. Participants will get to work on a case study and compete for cash and prizes. The new series kicks off its first project this Saturday and Sunday at Screenland Theatres with a goal of creating Screeland’s Famous Popcorn. Last-minute tickets are still available at the Eventbrite site.
