Now Ames, Iowa entrepreneurs, developers, designers and tech enthusiasts have the opportunity to participate in the “global grassroots movement” of Startup Weekend. The city’s first such event is set to kick off April 12.

Over the course of 52 hours in the CPMI Event Center, participants will pitch an idea, create a prototype and present their product to a group of local business leaders.
