Kansas City-based EyeVerify and Cedar Falls, Iowa-based Banno recently showcased their work at Finovate, a conference devoted to financial and banking technology. Their presentations, which took place May 14 in San Francisco, are now posted on the Finovate site, which we’ve linked to below.

EyeVerify’s Toby Rush, CEO, and Chris Barnett, executive vice president of global sales and marketing, demonstrated the startup’s Eyeprint Verification System, which uses smartphone’s built-in cameras to image and pattern match users’ eye veins for secure mobile finance transactions. The company also recently received press from Consumer Reports and Mobiledia.

Wade Arnold, CEO, and Ben Metz, CTO, unveiled Banno’s new ad platform, Kernel, which lets banks and credit unions market their own products to customers, through a live demo at Finovate. It was their third time presenting, and as Arnold earlier told SPN, Kernel “really is the product that merges our two main product offerings.” The company also builds websites for banks—the consulting part of its business—and sells banks a white-label mobile app, Grip.
