Kansas City Startup Village has spent a little more than a year building a community that provides density, mentorship and resources for entrepreneurs. Now the group is taking a close look at where it walks. Along with the rest of the Spring Valley neighborhood off of State Line Road, KCSV is hoping to gather support for safer sidewalks and curbs. Recently KCSV took to Booster asking for $20 donations—you get a red KCSV T-shirt in return—to make the sidewalks safer for children and the elderly as well as to fix eroded curbs. With many KC staples in close proximity, the group wants to make it as walkable as possible. The Wyandotte County Unified Government has pledged $20,000, but KCSV hopes to raise $1,111 through the campaign to bridge the gap in funds. — Source: Booster
