A Silicon Valley technologist for more than 20 years, Jason Johnson’s career is marked with accomplishments that help make the world a more connected place.

Jason is the co-founder and CEO of August, the makers of the sleek Smart Lock that gives consumers a secure, simple and social way to manage the locks of their home or office electronically and remotely.

Now he joins the slate of Big Omaha speakers with a depth of knowledge and experience that we think will elevate you in your own endeavors.

Recently, research associated with the possibilities of connecting consumers with their mobile devices has taken off. Jason is the chairman of the Internet of Things Consortium (IoTC), a nonprofit with the goal to improve the efficiency, safety and seamlessness of our lives. Member companies include August, Logitech, Coin, Ouya and SmartThings (a company co-founded by one of our other Big Omaha speakers this year, Andrew Brooks).

Prior to his endeavor with August, Jason served as a vice president at Dolby Laboratories, working with wireless Internet and near-field communication technologies. Additionally, Jason was a vice president at Global IP Solutions, where he assisted in the development the VoIP technology behind Skype, Google Chat and other messaging systems; acquired by Google in 2010.

Among many other mentorship, advisement and investing opportunities, Jason also co-founded companies BlueSprig and Rethink Books. Given his history as a serial entrepreneur, it’s no surprise Jason is a managing partner at Founders Den, an exclusive co-working space in San Francisco for experienced entrepreneurs.

We invite you to join Jason and the other 14 Big Omaha speakers this May 7-9. Tickets are currently available at BigOmaha.com for $499 until March 14.
