With South by Southwest quickly approaching, the Iowa Economic Development Authority is looking for startups to help host #IowaHour, an opportunity for Iowa startups and entrepreneurs—current and former—to connect, promote their companies and gain some national exposure.

If you’re an Iowa startup headed south for the festival—or even if you can’t make it—you can sign up online to help co-host the event free of charge.

The #IowaHour is Sunday, March 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Old School Bar & Grill, 401 E. Sixth Street in Austin. Sponsors for the event include the Greater Des Moines Partnership, John Deere and the City of West Des Moines.

So far Des Moines startups Bawte and Volunteer Local, as well as Cedar Rapids’ NextStep.io have signed up to co-host the event, according the IEDA’s website.

Use #IowaHour on Twitter to join in the conversation about the event.
