What EntreFEST organizers are looking forward to most

We asked EntreFEST’s organizers to give us a glimpse at what elements of the conference attendees should be sure to include on their schedule. Their response included:

  • The EntreFEST Street Festival: “After the breakout sessions on Thursday afternoon, head into the Ped Mall to enjoy the Street Festival and Hog Roast featuring Carl Blake’s famous Iowa Swabian Hall. Blake, a former software developer turned famous farmer, has garnered national attention in The New York Times and on the Colbert Report for breeding the perfect pig. Try his delicacies and enjoy performances by local artists and street performers throughout the downtown area.”
  • Dream Big, Grow Here State Finals: “At 6 p.m. Thursday, after the Street Festival, head around the corner to the Englert Theatre to meet Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds and watch 10 early-stage Iowa entrepreneurs pitch their business dreams to a panel of judges to win $10,000. After the pitches, while the judges deliberate, Carl Blake will share his story of going from developing computer software to breeding the perfect pig.”
