Startup Weekend KC returns June 13 with focus on women entrepreneurs

Next weekend, Kansas City will host its ninth Startup Weekend, this time with a focus on bringing more women in entrepreneurship. While the event is open to everyone, this iteration of Startup Weekend Kansas City will be about promoting gender diversity in tech and entrepreneurship.

The 54-hour event begins 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 13 through 9 p.m. Sunday, June 15 at the Center for Advanced Professional Studies in Overland Park, Kan. 

Registration for the event costs $80 and public tickets for the Friday evening or Sunday night presentations are $15. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite. 

The last Kansas City Startup Weekend event was last November, with social game Pijjin taking home top prize.
