The deadline for the Iowa Business Plan Competition has been extended, so make sure to get your executive summaries in by Friday. The competition is meant to “stimulate entrepreneurial activity and greater awareness of the resources available to grow entrepreneurs in Iowa,” according to its site. The Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers are once again offering its resources and $50,000 in prize money to winners ($25K for first, $15K for second, $10K for third), with feedback and practice for the seven to 10 companies that make it through the initial selection round. Ideas must be for companies less than four years old or not yet cash flow positive and must hold its principal operations in Iowa.
