Applications are now open for the special .NET web developing program with Interface Web School and First National Bank of Omaha.
The bank and web school will choose 10 applicants for the program where students will learn, build and grow a web skill set at Interface while getting hands-on internship experience at First National Bank.
The program is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Friday starting Oct. 6 and runs for 10 weeks. Tuition, normally $7,000, is free for applicants that are accepted. Students also will be paid for 40 hours a week during their FNBO internship and Interface training.
During this 10-week program, students will learn valuable and marketable skills by attending web developer training in the morning followed by an afternoon of project work. You will also have access to exclusive workshops for program participants on topics from communication and leadership to project management.
FNBO chose .NET since some of its applications are built in the language.
“The great thing about this program is that we’re accepting anyone from any background whether they are in high school, didn’t graduate from college, graduate from college or just looking for a career change,” said Interface School managing director Shonna Dorsey. “The right skill level, aptitude and motivation are the key criteria we’re looking for.”
There’s even potential for employment after the internship.
Applications are open until Sept. 20. The final class will be announced by Oct. 3. Interface also has two other fall classes for web development and has setup internship opportunities for those classes as well.
