1) Speaker slate
Tech founders, musicians, designers and investors make up the
slate for 2015 – arguably the most varied in Big Omaha history. With such a wealth of experience in a wide variety of industries, these leaders will offer valuable insight to attendees – and naturally a great big dose of inspiration.
2) Parties
After six years of Big Omaha, we’ve gained a bit of a reputation for the energy and excitement that surrounds the parties.
The Opening, Middle, Happy Hour and
Closing Parties, as well as the pop up events allow an almost unheard of amount of opportunities to connect with other attendees. For 2015, folks can look forward to more intentional networking with sponsors at our Middle Party – helping those that traditionally come from different backgrounds to make some meaningful connections. Another thing to look forward to? We’re thrilled to have NYC DJ duo
The Jane Doze shutting down Big Omaha for us at House of Loom
on Friday night.
3) Food
How many conferences can boast their meals as a highlight for attendees? With past food partners including Localmotive Food Truck and Block 16, Big Omaha has always had a special focus on making sure the meals we serve match the quality of everything else at the conference. This year we’re thrilled to work with chef Paul Kulik and Le Bouillon, who will be dishing up some incredible food for the hundreds at Big Omaha 2015. Once again we’re partnering with Aromas for breakfast, where they’ll be showcasing their new in house roasted Hardy Coffee. And thanks to our friends at Bulu Box, attendees will have healthy and delicious snack options at all times throughout the conference.
4) Pop up events
For the second year in a row, we’ve seen numerous events “pop up” in conjunction with Big Omaha. These events complement and reinforce the energy surrounding the conference, furthering the impact of Big Omaha not only for attendees but also the local entrepreneurial scene. Events for this year include an
Own it Omaha Women in Tech event held at Brickway, a screening of “
Winter is Coming”, a documentary about surviving the seasons of entrepreneurship and a
Developer and Tech Happy Hour hosted at Blatt Beer and Table.
