2014 Investor of the Year, Built by Iowa was created to help talented entrepreneurs bridge the gap between angels and Series A funding.

Since 2013, they have invested $2M+ in 15 seed-stage Silicon Prairie entities. 0 of 15 have failed and 12 of 15 have secured additional investment at increased valuations.

DVC’s portfolio includes BuluBox, Viirt, DivvyHQ, BuiltIn, MindMixer, Inventables, ABPathfinder, DonorPath and many more across the Midwest.

Nebraska Global is a $37.3 million software investment firm based in Lincoln. The company has made 14 investments in Lincoln and Omaha including Beehive Industries, Boutique Window (exit), EliteForm, Ocuvera, Prairie Cloudware and Travefy.

Mid-America Angels Investment Network (Mid-America Angels) has been a mainstay capital provider and leader of many Silicon Prairie seed and Series A rounds since 2006. In less than ten years, MAA members have invested over $15 million in regional startups including EyeVerify, Aratana Therapeutics, Bulu Box, Rawxies and Zave and Rhythm Engineering.

MAA members include accredited angel investors from across the Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO metro areas. Recently, the group has begun expanding to include additional investors in Topeka and Manhattan, KS and St. Joseph, MO, increasing the availability of early-stage capital in the region. Vote now
