Cox Business announced the return of the Get Started Omaha pitch competition, coming in late September.

In this competition, finalist companies will compete to win $10,000, including $7500 cash and $2500 in a Cox Media package.

Julie Minton, Sr. Marketing Manager, expressed her excitement over the event, stating: “This is an opportunity for more exposure to the innovative work being done by the startup community in Omaha. And a great event to make a new connection.”

The event will take place September 20, 2018 at the Holland Performing Arts Center with pitches starting at 6:30 p.m.

Past winners of this event include:

  • 2014 Travefy: a travel-related SaaS company that has raised multiple rounds of capital.
  • 2015 Nightlife Transit: a firm started by Eric Burns who is now running Gazella Wifi.
  • 2016 Borrow for Your Bump: a maternity wear box company.
  • 2017 Snowshoe Candy: a candy manufacturing business, which used its success to acquire manufacturing equipment, started by Ali Clark Yahnke.
