With less than a week to go, Barcamp Omaha is quickly approaching. This third annual event takes place this Saturday, November 20th at Nomad Lounge. Here’s the schedule breakdown for Saturday:
- 9 a.m. – Doors open / breakfast
- 9:30 a.m. – Create a schedule
- 10 a.m. – Sessions
- 1 p.m. – Lunch
- 5 p.m.-ish – Closing
If you’re planning on giving a talk (and we hope that you will), you’ll want to be there first thing to get your name on the schedule. In addition, you might want to check out the great post on the Barcamp site – How to Give a Great Barcamp Talk – which lays out some great tips for what makes a successful talk.

Also, don’t forget that the official Barcamp Omaha opening party is Friday night at Nomad starting at 7 p.m., and is sponsored by our good friends at the Grasshopper Group:
Grasshopper Group is providing some delicious apps, quesadillas, cheese and meat plates, etc. and the first drink for each attendee! Look for or tweet @grasshopperbuzz and @srbullis to meet the team and to have a beer of course! You can’t miss us, we will be in the crazy bright green T-shirts and waving tickets all around.
We have some other great sponsors lined up as well, including Lyconic, Huntel, Braintrust, and more. We’ve got a few spots remaining as well, if you’re interested send me a note at dusty@siliconprairienews.com.
I’ll leave you with some great photos from last year’s party and event to get you excited. Hope to see you all there!
