Shane Reiser facilitates Startup Weekend New York in 2010.
Shane Reiser, an Omaha resident who recently started working for Des Moines-based startup Dwolla, will speak Thursday at Cornstalks, a monthly forum hosted by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce for people interested in high-growth entrepreneurship.
Reiser, who previously worked as director of marketing at Kohort and before that served as COO of Startup Weekend, will talk about Startup Genome, an organization he co-founded that aims to map every startup community in the world. He’ll speak about its value, including how a community can benefit from it and how those attending can help with it. Reiser and Cornstalks organizer Dusty Reynolds are the co-curators of Startup Genome Omaha (below).
