Update: Big Season Pass now on sale!

In November, we announced a name and a date for our inaugural Kansas City event, but we teased much to be desired. Today, our conference becomes a reality as we reveal the vision and branding that will make the event truly come alive March 26-28.

Big Kansas City joins Big Omaha and Big Des Moines to make up The Big Series, the nation’s most ambitious events on innovation and entrepreneurship. In the weeks to come, we’ll share more details about the two-and-a-half-day conference, reveal more than a dozen notable entrepreneurs and innovators as speakers and introduce some of the 400 attendees who will share in the experiences with us.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at our new branding, our conference home and the overview of the full schedule. Please note, tickets go on sale Jan. 23.

Branding and more by Cremalab

We’re excited to announce Cremalab of Kansas City, Mo. is our identity, design and development partner for Big Kansas City.

Cremalab founder George Brooks attended Big Omaha in its inaugural year in 2009. In developing the initial Big Kansas City concept, he said this brand needed to match the theme of The Big Series but also represent an inspiration to build things that matter in Kansas City. Our Big Kansas City preview site is the first piece of this brand.

Thanks to Cremalab, we have a design concept that provides clarity to the Big Kansas City experience. What they have created ties the historic roots of Kansas City with the emerging technology and growing entrepreneurial scene. It aligns with the legacy stories of successful businesses in the community and connects with the larger aspirations to grow the next generation, harness potential and energize individual passions here and beyond.

The 30,000 square foot aircraft hangar, Hangar 9, will become the conference venue for the inaugural year.

Home is Hangar 9

Inside the National Airline History Museum’s Hangar 9, we will transform a working aircraft hangar into our home for Big Kansas City. Located at Kansas City’s Charles Wheeler Downtown Airport, the commercial aviation museum will be the event’s central location, a space that encompasses the shared experience for our attendees.

Complete with working aircraft and historic spacecraft, the venue will serve as an arena of discovery, and encourage the exploration of new ideas, complimenting the theme of our conference.

Tickets on sale Jan. 23

Tickets for the conference become available Jan. 23 when we release our Big Season Pass. The pass gives an exclusive 20 percent discount and guarantees a seat at all three of our conference events: Big Kansas City, Big Omaha and Big Des Moines. Prices for The Big Series are aligned with previous years and will be released next week. Individual tickets to Big Kansas City go on sale Jan. 30.

Because intimacy and a shared experience go hand-in-hand at our events, we encourage buying tickets early as seats sell quickly.
