Yesterday Des Moines startup Rocket Referrals announced a partnership with QQ Solutions—one of the nation’s largest providers of management systems for independent insurance agencies—which also marks the official public launch of the startup’s product.

“Our product is all about automation, and although there are quick and easy ways to import data it still requires a touch every week,” co-founder and CEO Torey Maerz told Silicon Prairie News. “So we proactively reached out to a number of management systems about integrating our products in hopes that we can reduce the data entry requirements for our joint customers. It’s always been our goal to give people a hands-off automated referral strategy. Now, with the QQ Catalyst integration, people using their products have exactly that.”

Rocket Referrals is a cloud-based software company that allows insurance agents to automate their referral program and will integrate with QQ Solutions through its agency management system, QQ Catalyst. The collaboration will allow the Des Moines startup to help service the full database of agencies using QQ Solutions’ system.

“It’s a great thing for Rocket Referrals because we have access to a huge set of potential customers that have direct integration with an existing product they are using today,” Maerz (right) said. “These are ideal clients for us because the integration will bring a new client on and functioning in Rocket Referrals in under five minutes while a normal setup can take three to five days.”

Maerz co-founded the company with his brother Carl and began working on the startup full-time in late February. In August, Rocket Referrals became a resident at StartupCity Des Moines. Although the integration with QQ Solutions marks the technical public launch of Rocket Referrals, Maerz says he and his brother are planning a larger launch over the next few weeks.
