EyeVerify won “Rookie of the Year” and “Technology Innovation” in the Compass Intelligence Mobility Awards during the Consumer Electronics Show Wednesday.

More than 50 veteran analysts and journalists, including representatives from Gartner, IHS, Frost & Sullivan, Strategy Analytics, Current Analysis, Ovum, Yankee Group, Forbes, the Chicago Tribune, TMC, ComputerWorld, RCR Wireless, Consumer Reports and Network World voted on the nominees.

EyeVerify CEO Toby Rush said he’s humbled by the recent string of recognitions.

“This one is special because the voting panel was comprised of industry experts as well as journalists and editors for major tech publications,” Rush said in a release. “We are excited heading into 2014 as we will be announcing several customers, strategic relationships.”

The announcement was made at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas during CES, one of the largest electronics trade shows in the world.

The Compass Intelligence Mobility Awards is an official CES event that gives awards in the mobile and wireless ecosystem, M2M, and green technology. Compass Intelligence is a global market acceleration research and consulting firm.

The selection panel was encouraged to vote based on their experience with different solutions in the market and choose the company that performs best in each category, according to EyeVerify’s press release. See the full list of winners.

The eye recognition software will be commercially available in Q1 in 2014.

In November, EyeVerify won the Get In The Ring: The Investment Battle International award where more than 1,000 startups across 32 countries competed to win a $1.3 million potential investment.
