I just retweeted the above from @SiliconPrairie, but I felt it needed a post, as well.
What began this past June as a “six month long experiment,” has proved to be a solid example of Omaha’s creative and innovative community. According to Empty Room’s website, Bluestone Development, Secret Penguin, and What Cheer created Empty Room to give a place to “artists, entrepreneurs, thinkers, environmentalists, teachers, etcetera who are interested in sharing creative ideas with the Omaha community. Rent Free.”
Empty Room is located at 13th and Webster streets (Saddle Creek Records complex) under 22 Floors. If you haven’t checked it out, I recommend grabbing lunch there over these next few days as current-tenant, raw food restaurant CLEAN PLATE (clean-plate.com), is in its final week.
