Calling all Berkshire Hathaway shareholders and non-shareholders: if you’re donning the official meeting credentials or are in our fine city of Omaha on Saturday, May 1, join us at Slowdown from 3:30 – 5:30 for the first-ever, unofficial Berkshire Tweetup.

More than 30,000 people from across the globe will be descending on Omaha next Friday through Saturday, April 30 – May 2, for the annual Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting at which business partners Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger take the stage for five hours of Q&A.

Following the Q&A, we encourage you to head across the street to Slowdown (729 North 14th Street) and grab a drink with other attendees and Omaha locals. Look for the sign pictured on the left. Photo by Malone and Company Photography.

A bit of trivia: The Slowdown is a rock club and bar opened by the founders of Saddle Creek Records, the independent record label behind such artists as Bright Eyes and Cursive. Read more about the Slowdown’s history at theslowdown.com/info.

This event is open to the public, there will be no cover at the door, but you must be 21+ to attend.

Later in the evening, Slowdown will be hosting The Mynabirds Record Release Show. For more information visit theslowdown.com/events/the-mynabirds-record-release-show.

And to stay up-to-date with the latest information on the annual meeting, make sure to check out Omaha-based, Berkshire Hathaway-owned jewelry store Borsheim’s on Twitter at @BorsheimsBRK and online at borsheimsbrk.com. We’ve partnered with Borsheim’s to help spread the word about the Tweetup, and we hope you do, as well: RSVP today or send out a tweet with the hashtag #BRKtweetup.
