Cornstalks will be switching things up on March 31, replacing its usual monthly speaker series with a Demonstration Night, an event showcasing new products of local tech startups. Some will be new names, while others will be existing startups. For those who have never experienced a “demo” event, this is awesome. In the two years of covering startups in Omaha, I can’t remember of another group holding this type of event, so I commend organizer Tom Chapman of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce for pulling this together.

The night will kick off at 6:30 p.m. for networking (complimentary drinks and cookies), and the demonstrations will start at 7 p.m. Each demo will be about six to eight minutes, and the presenter will use the projector to give a description and walk-through of the product.

Startups

If you’re a tech startup and are interested in demonstrating your product March 31 or at a future Cornstalks Demo Night, contact Tom Chapman at tchapman@omahachamber.org. Space is limited.

Attendees

Though the event is free and open to the public, space is limited. Please RSVP to Tom Chapman at tchapman@omahachamber.org.

With the announcement, Chapman sent over an example presentation to give attendees an idea of what to expect. The following video is a demo of Parallels given at the DEMO conference last fall.
