In preparation for tonight’s event, I caught up with Kangas today by email. He said that he had been in talks with the organizers of the SF New Tech event for quite some time, but because of scheduling he couldn’t make it out there until this month. Regarding the app, he said that he had just added the “email your Hollrback card feature” earlier this month and that he’s “made good use of it when talking to people about the product.”

Kangas also provided comments on his recent trip of to Boulder, Colorado for Boulder Startup Week: “Hollrback had some great reception in Boulder, the people there really got it and are very supportive of it. It was a very positive experience sharing it with them.

Tonight’s event, which starts with a two-hour networking session from 5:30-7:30 p.m., features five other startups in addition to Hollrback. To learn more about the SF New Tech and the other presenters, see sfnewtech.com.
