Wednesday’s Dwolla meetup brought out a cross section of the business and technology community from throughout Des Moines. The Dwolla team estimated more than 350 people passed through doors, first for a social at Americana, then next door at Zart. Dwolla founder Ben Milne was the event’s headliner, announcing his company’s new product, Proxi (see our post Proxi puts power of proximity-based payment at Dwolla users’ fingertips). Leading up to the Proxi showcase, the Dwolla team shared the stage with representatives from three local startups: Erin Ginkens of TableNabbr, Nathan Haila of Shoplr and Jake Kerber of Locusic, who each had the chance to show off what they’re working on.
Photos from the from the social that kicked off the evening are below, and video of the presentation from all four startups follows. (All photos by Geoff Wood. Video stream provided by Jon Thompson at Evolve and John Windschitl at That Video Guy.)
