Episode 72: The one with a bonus in the Fast Four
This week on PrairieCast, we were joined by Marco Santana, The Des Moines Register’s new technology and startup reporter, as well as our own Michael Stacy. We talked through all the news and notes from Pipeline‘s Innovator of the Year festivities and looked back on the Gigabit Challenge to discuss what it means to the region.
Fast Four
This week in our new Fast Four segment, we looked at Shazam’s jump into mobile payments, Zaarly’s staffing changes in Kansas City, LiveOn.com’s wild ride at Daytona, and if startup jobs will help Iowa’s Governor reach his goal of adding 200,000 new jobs. As a bonus, this week we went for a Fast Five (feel free to add your own Vin Diesel joke) and the goal of one Drake University class to secure a Foursquare badge for Des Moines.
