I’m hosting a meetup Thursday at the Press Club of San Francisco (above) starting at 5:30 p.m. local time. This expat meetup is geared to connect those who hail from the Silicon Prairie region – Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri – and now live in the Bay Area as well as those who have an affinity to the region.

I’ll also be in the city for most of the week meeting with entrepreneurs, investors, past and future Big Series speakers and others, all with a focus of continuing to strengthen the relationships and ties between what’s going on throughtout the country and the Silicon Prairie.

A special thanks to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation who is our premier sponsor for this event. In addition to this coming week’s meetup, we’re partnering with the Kauffman Foundation to hold four more expat meetups this year. Stay tuned for future locations and dates.

To learn more or RSVP for Thursday’s meetup, visit the event on Facebook. To connect with me while I’m visiting, shoot me an email, jeff@siliconprairienews.com, or find me on Twitter, @slobotski.

If you’re in or near San Francisco, we look forward to seeing you next week!
