Early-bird registration is open for the 2027 Nebraska Women in STEM Conference, which will be held in Lincoln on March 2-3.
Until Nov. 30, tickets will be $225. After that, the cost will increase to $275.

The conference is for professional and leadership development in STEM, with sessions like “The power in your presence: Stop shrinking and start showing up like the leader that you are.” Featured speaker Barb Allen, a longtime construction industry executive, will speak about the workforce environment women often face.
“This year’s theme, ‘You Belong,’ is about more than just attending a conference — it’s about feeling seen, supported, and ready to grow,” said Amanda McGill Johnson, the executive director of Nebraska Cures and NWIS, in a press release.
“Every year, the Nebraska Women in STEM Conference grows, and we’ve fostered an inspiring, fun and encouraging environment where women and allies feel supported and heard,” she said.
In the meantime, the organization will host the Nebraska Women in STEM Awards during a luncheon at the Durham Museum in Omaha on Oct. 29. Honorees include Nicole Buan, a co-founder of Molecular Trait Evolution, a biotech startup and graduate of The Combine, the Lincoln agtech startup incubator program.
