Over the next three days we’ll be highlighting the many companies from around the country that have put time, effort and resources into making this inaugural Big Kansas City a reality.

Let’s start with the first group, these ten “Friends of Big Kansas City” organizations who have all contributed to the operation of the event (listed alphabetically):

Aristocrat Motors

Aristocrat Motors of Merriam, Kan., is the official transportation provider for Big Kansas City. Thanks to their support, each of the events speakers were transported in style from the airport to the event venue.

Bow & Arrow Productions

We loved the work that Bow & Arrow did in producing Thinc Iowa last fall so much that we brought them with us to Kansas City. This Adel, Iowa-based company stages events, conferences and corporate meetings all over the world.

ButtonBiz.com

Be sure to stop by the Big Kansas City store and pick up a few of the event buttons from ButtonBiz.com. They’re always a popular keepsake from each Big Series event.

Cremalab

Kansas City’s own Cremalab is the official Big Kansas City design and identity partner. Their team designed and developed everything from the event website to the signage around the room to the name tags around your neck. Special thanks to Kelly Tomlinson, who has been working closely with us for the last several months.

La Cucaracha Press

This year’s T-shirts were produced by La Cucaracha Press. They’re available in the Big Kansas City store for $5 and come in three different colors. Collect ’em all!

National Airline History Museum

The setting for Big Kansas City is unique. The National Airline History Museum in its current form is 25 years in the making but ties back even further to entrepreneurs like Howard Hughes, Jack Frey and Charles Lindbergh, who moved the headquarters of their startup, Trans World Airlines (TWA), to this airport in 1931.

Quadrant5

Quadrant5 is a new venture by Chris New, a Des Moines-based video producer who has worked with us on several Big Series events in the past. Quadrant5.tv combines its own in-house shows (AM Reboot, Ballot Box Office, The Flop, FFwd) with independent content under a single marketing engine. In 2013, the Quadrant5 network will facilitate the launch of 50 new regular shows.

The Roasterie

Coffee will be provided at the event by the popular Kansas City speciality coffee-roasting company The Roasterie. Not coincidently, their “air-roasted coffee” is the official coffee of our venue, The National Airline History Museum.

Social Media Club of Kansas City

Our friends at the Social Media Club of Kansas City will be in-house this week to help spread the news about the great things in store for #BigKC.

Sticker Mule

Get your laptops ready for the official Big Kansas City stickers produced by our partner, Sticker Mule. They’re available for free at the Big Kansas City store. Thanks Sticker Mule!
