Omaha-based Dundee Venture Capital last week announced that in January it invested an undisclosed amount in DonorPath, a Chicago-based startup building what it calls a fundraising intelligence engine. “At the time of our investment, the company was only 15 days past its incorporation; thus, we had to rely heavily on the founder’s vision and experience in the nonprofit sector,” Dundee analyst Nick Engelbart said on the firm’s blog, noting the company didn’t have revenue, customers, a team or a product. Prior to DonorPath, the startup’s founder, Brian Lauterbach, spent 15 years as a nonprofit fundraiser, consultant and entrepreneur. — Source: Dundee Venture Capital
