Almost one year after the project’s initial announcementStartupCity Spencer officially opened its doors Monday. Located at Gary’s on the River in Spencer, Iowa—a town of fewer than 12,000—the incubator is an adaptation of central Iowa’s StartupCity Des Moines. “We want this to be a resource to draw out entrepreneurial energy,” founder Leann Jacobsen told the Daily Reporter.
