Two Silicon Prairie startups gained national recognition today when Fast Company released its 2014 list of “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” online. Kansas City’s AgLocal placed No. 43 overall on the list “for creating the next generation meat market.” Additionally, Des Moines startup Dwolla was named one of “The World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Finance” for “daring to take on the fee-laden credit card establishment.” The magazine’s March issue hits newsstands soon. — Source: Fast Company
