YP SummitOMAHA— The Omaha Young Professionals group is looking for entrepreneurs, artists, engineers and scientists to show off their innovations at its STEAM Innovator Fair March 5.

Submission are due by Nov. 19 and all the requirements to apply are available online.

The 2015 Young Professionals Summit’s Innovator Fair aims to highlight creativity and innovation through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). People with robots, live art exhibits, computer applications, cutting-edge digital or electronic advancements, mobile games, mechanical or other inventions and sensory experiments of all kinds are encouraged to apply.

The event, organized by the Greater Omaha Chamber and volunteers, brings more than 1,300 engaged and diverse young professionals, creators and business and community leaders to engage with one another and invest in themselves and their community.

“This year, the objective is to showcase inspiring and unique STEAM innovations our region has to offer,” the event’s site states. “As young professionals supporting talent and workforce retention and development, it’s imperative that STEAM culture is prioritized in a manner that greatly impacts economic and community growth within our region.

“If you are an innovative individual, nonprofit, small business, company or university and working on some cutting-edge, inspiring, or otherwise just flat-out sweet stuff, we want you as a participant in the Innovator Fair.”

Organizers say attending the Summit gives the opportunity to make connections with young professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders, educate attendees on why STEAM matters to Greater Omaha and exhibit how you’ve taken STEAM principles to heart in your own work.
