“We’ll have the opportunity to touch on an issue that is so prevalent in the startup community yet is rarely discussed.”

Big Omaha has announced that Jamie Tworkowski, founder of To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), will be speaking at Big Omaha May 6-8.

Tworkowski is not a traditional founder. He started his nonprofit in 2006, inspired by the story of Renee Yohe, a girl struggling with addiction, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

Brad Feld, co-founder of Techstars and also a speaker at Big Omaha this year, recently published a Q&A where he discussed founder depression, a topic all too often overlooked.

“Jamie has an ability to speak to this topic like few others,” said Big Omaha organizer Joey Wolfe. “We’ll have the opportunity to touch on an issue that is so prevalent in the startup community yet is rarely discussed.”

Tworkowski’s new book, If You Feel Too Much, will be released on May 26th.

You can purchase your tickets for Big Omaha at bigomaha.co.
