Insurance data analysis startup ClaimKit has secured $1.8 million in funding, according to a press release. The round was led by Flyover Capital, as well as the Mid-America Angels and other unnamed angel investors.

“The Flyover team brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and the entrepreneurial mindset that fits well with our team,” said Chris Cheatham, ClaimKit CEO, in a press release. “It is heartening to have an institutional investor based in our region with the operating backgrounds and experience of the Flyover partners.”

The Leawood, Kansas, company’s first product Privity, provides document management for insurance carriers and attorneys. The new funding will go towards their second product, RiskGenius, that provides policy analysis via machine learning.

In 2014 SPN reported on ClaimKit’s raise of $560,000, which also included the Mid-America Angels.
