Lincoln-based Hudl, Inc. is the leading provider of information to athletic teams in the country. The company works with millions of athletes around the world but made their first product around football.

In honor of the start of football season, Silicon Prairie News has put together an infographic illustrating the significant popularity of football in America.

Hudl agreed to help us illustrate this popularity by utilizing their data to show the total scale of players and the density of players by state.

The Silicon Prairie holds strong as a hub for college football with Iowa and Nebraska showing as the top two states for football athletes per capita. Check out the graphic for the top ten states by density of players.
